Micah Zimring

I spend my professional life as a user interface designer for software and web sites - I am not a professional calligrapher. Since computer screens offer no tactile sensation, calligraphy is my way of keeping in touch with the real word of texture, handwork, and, of course, non-"undoable" mistakes. I am happy to have my work displayed in homes throughout the world. Here is a brief outline of my professional career.

  • Education
BFA, Graphic Design, Philadelphia College of Art (now University of the Arts)
    Self-taught calligrapher

  • Exhibitions/Publications

    Federation General Assembly, Boston, MA
Letter Arts Review 1997 Annual and Exhibit

  • Teaching
